Is this just a Logic line?

The Man I Is.

For a second, you would ask yourself what is this guy saying? Is this even grammatically correct? Or is this not the title of a song from Logic’s Album titled “Pressure”?

Yes, of course you got it right, but this is me now, and of course, it’s a new year, and I am still twenty-something.

This is not a memoir like I would always say, this is not gloating, this might be just me Jcole and Logic together.

What is expected of a teenager in a Sub-Saharan African country? What is expected of a teenager from an Obscure community in Ogun State, Nigeria? Does he even have an internet connection with a stable power supply? (Hahaha, story for another minute, we would get right to this.

It is the summer of early 2000s, i was operating a Nokia phone, and i locked the SIM card, it belongs to my lovely mama, yes of course i received an ass whoping expected from 80% of Nigerian parents, hahahaha, funny, and funny how time flies, i was in my early life stage the first time i operated a cell phone, it was a Multi Links phone (My mama always call it a handset), it was at the front of River Benue where i always see the beautiful Fulani tribe people working and selling Nunu (The milk extract from the breast of a cow), it was enjoyable days, i always play games with the Multi links phone, hahaha, my mama used to complain about the battery (Nigerians would understand, especially the poor to midle class 🤣).

Now, can we skip to when Obiabo is growing? Yes, of course.

In my early years, I used to have a bicycle, I would trade it for Mobile phone games, funny right? I miss the old good days, I would play different games, games like Prince of Persia, Mortal Kombat, Asphat etc, and i love cartoons too, like everyother kid, that was when i said to my self, when i grow old i would love to know how to create games, and cartoon videos, hihihi, if we are to talk on this, i might write an entire bible.

Life played life, and we moved from Markudi to an obscure town in Ogun State, where I finished primary school and started high school. I met some lovely people.

It was 2014-2016, my era of 2GO, an era where teenagers strive to keep a 2GO streak to boost their 2GO star, hahahah. I stop at proffesional before my junior high class mate hacked my account (it was just a simple, stupid, and funny social engineering), I gave him my password so he could boost my 2GO star. Dumb me, hahaha, SIMON, i wonder where you are today, is life treating you fair? Do you have a kid? Have you left this country? because the last time i heard from you was 2018 (You impacted me alot, thank you), remember my Anything book? (The book where I used to write mobile hacks and food recipes), Of course you do, you silly and crazy friend of mine, I first heard the word “HACKING” from you.

It was the same 2014 - 2018 i was still young then, i learnt how to mod Java phones application with BlueFTP, Class translator etc, good old days, mehn. (yes i modded the ZUMA application.)

The same 2016 i was learning how to screen print (Yes what freewill can do), around 2017 i was learning how to repair mobile phones (Hahaha, funny i only learnt for a week, before my tutor went to school), but funny how i could earn some little living from that, i was the number one engineer and phone guru in my class, i have an Autodidactic nature (i can pick up anything and learn it), i had to teach my self how to tie my laces

Fast forward to 2018, I met someone I would never forget in my entire life, VICTOR (if you are reading this, thanks alot bro), he introduced me to the world of coding, ever since then, I took it upon myself to be a good engineer.

Phone Usage in a Nigerian home

As a teenager growing up in a Nigerian home, having a phone addiction is crazy, my mama would tell me, “ You to de press phone.”, Someone in my street gave me the name Pingy. According to her, she go say, you too de ping ping, hahahah.

Fast forward to today, my mama is proud of me, my dad, my uncle, and my family members. Now “ I’m Happy for the Man i Is, and grateful for the man i become.”

Me, Logic and Jcole

I said I'm happy the man I Is, and I'm proud of the man I've become

Yes, i can beat my chest and it would make a very loud noise than a trailer honking, and the sound of that honk would be, I Obiabo, i am greateful for the Man i Is.

Like Cole said in “Too deep for this Intro”, if they don't know yo' dreams
Then they can't shoot 'em down

Yes cole is actually right, but I think my Boy Logic killed it by saying “But I'ma let the world know
'Cause I'm too high up to hit the ground
, I guess that makes the two of us.

Yes, of course, because my dreams could win OScars. (yes thats a jcoles line)
Even Tyler Perry can’t come close (Now thats my line).
